In order to provide efficient service delivery for its customers and compete favourably in the present economic recession, the solalina investment recently inaugurated a new team to pilot the affairs of the conglomerate .
The new general manager of the company, Mrs Joy Onwubiko, in her inaugural speech, in yenagoa , pledged to bring her wealth of experience to bear on her new assignment in order to ensure that solalina and all its subsidiaries move to the next level .
She said solalina aims at humanity and enriching the world through quality service delivery, noting that they would be guided by policies that will meet the company’s target.
While acknowledging that the task ahead was enormous, Onwubiko charged all hands to be on deck to ensure that the company becomes of the private-driven companies that will compete favourably in the business environment both locally and internationally. The GM further stated that the customers well being was non-negotiable, adding that they would be treated with utmost respect and dignity. She charged the company’s public relation department to be above board.
She said the ultimate goal of establishing most organizations was to maximize profit through efficient service delivery and to reduce loses noting that new channels would be explored to generate revenue for the company.
In his remark, the pioneer Group Managing Director, Mr. Moses Oruaze Dickson, who resigned his position to face his legal practise, urged the new team to take steps towards ensuring that success is achieved, especially with the challenging global business climate.
The former GMD stated that in this 21st century, only ‘’innovative companies that are founded on ICT can survive and weather the storm’’.
Those inaugurated include Miss Oyeleye Adeola, Executive Assistance, Miss Ruth Omofurhieta, Administrative officer, Joshua Ifeayichukwu, Internal Control Officer, Evelyn Ayaowei, Front Desk officer and Mr. Chiedozie Igweonu, Supervisor, Public Affairs Department.
Earlier the board of directors had retained Barrister Dickson as a non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In a related development, Solalina Company has sent forth its pioneer corps members after they served out their service year in the company.
Mr. Adekola Adebayo, who spoke on behalf of the youth corps members, commended the company for giving them the opportunity to serve and broaden their scope mentally and socially to enable them face future challenges.
Highlight of the occasion was the award for meritorious service and letters of commendation to the outgoing corps members.
